STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
Cross, 18" to 24"
Other Materials:
Wet floral foam block
Small rectangular plastic dish
Fresh florals: roses, 12; thistle, four stems
Fresh greenery: camellia foliage, two stems; hypericum berries, six stems (divided)
Ivory satin ribbon, 3" x 3 yds.
White pearl-head boutonniere pins, 1 box
Wooden floral picks, 9", five
Green waterproof anchor tape, 1/4"
Floral shears
Floral or other serrated knife
Candle stub or paraffin
Scissors
Wire cutters
Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks or glue pan
Flower food (if using fresh flowers)

| Instructions |
| 1. Wax serrated knife with candle stub or paraffin; cut floral foam to fit inside container. Refer to package to mix flower food with fresh, clean water. Soak floral foam in mixture and drain on towel. Place foam in center of container and secure with criss-crossed anchor tape strips. |
| 2. Pin ribbon to outside edge of cross, covering foam surface; leave bottom edge uncovered. Trim excess. |
| 3. Pin one ribbon end to center face of cross. Use decorative pins to rausch ribbon randomly to cross face. Note: "Raushing" is the process of placing pin tip into ribbon about 5" from cross, randomly weaving pin through ribbon a few times to form decorative ruffle effect, and inserting pin into foam. Continue raushing ribbon to cross, working with 5" lengths at a time, to completely cover surface; trim excess. |
| 4. Glue wooden picks halfway into bottom of cross. Position cross on floral foam as desired; trim pick ends as needed for flush fit. Remove cross from foam, apply glue to pick ends and cross edge, and reinsert. Note: To protect ribbon from moisture, place small piece of plastic beneath cross before gluing pick ends into floral foam. |
| 5. Cut floral and foliage stems as desired and insert into foam in gentle crescent shape to showcase cross. |
