Materials Needed

STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
Green Cone, 9" x 4"

Other Materials:
Wet floral foam half-ball arranger, 2" diameter x 1-1/4" tall
Fresh or silk flowers (number of stems): white hydrangea (1); white spray roses (5); peach mini gerbera daisies (3); hypericum (3); greenery (4)
Floral wire: copper, 12-gauge, one package; copper, 24-gauge, 60" length
Glass jewel wired garland, 25" length, two packages
Ribbon of choice, 2-1/2" x 1 yd.
Floral pins, four
Floral shears
Floral knife
Scissors
Wire cutters
Needlenose pliers
Extra-strength spray adhesive
Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
Anti-transpirant spray (if using fresh flowers)

Instructions

1. Place foam cone base-down on work surface. Use pliers to twist tight circle into one end of 12-gauge wire; glue circle to tip of cone.

2. Working on one area at a time, spray sides of cone with adhesive. Tightly spiral wrap cone with remaining 12-gauge wire to end of spool; apply more adhesive as needed. Wire should completely cover foam surface.

3. Wrap remaining cone with rows of glass jewel garland, working toward base of cone and applying adhesive as needed.

4. Soak floral foam in water and drain on towel. Glue arranger to center of cone base.

5. Cut apart hydrangea, hypericum, and greenery stems into smaller pieces. Beginning at center top, insert hydrangea into floral foam in circular pattern to completely cover foam. Trim daisy stems as needed and insert into arrangement. Insert spray roses at center and hypericum around roses. Insert greenery to completely cover foam.

6. Encircle flowers with 24-gauge copper wire for decorative effect, if desired, gluing wire ends into top of cone.

7. Mist fresh flowers with anti-transpirant.

8. Position center of ribbon length at top back of cone. Dip floral pin ends into glue and insert into cone through ribbon. Tie ribbon around pew to secure.
