Instructions
Wall Art
1. If using 12" x 12" x 1" squares, skip to Step 2. Using ruler and pencil, score foam sheet to create three, 12" x 12" squares. Wax serrated knife with an old candle. Holding foam sheet firmly on a flat surface, extend one end and cut across the score line, using knife like a saw. Or, try dental floss: Stand the sheet on its edge and hold a 20" length of dental floss along the scored line, positioning one hand at the bottom of the board and the other at the top; draw the dental floss down through the foam sheet along the scored line. Repeat, creating a total of six, 12" x 12" squares.
2. Use putty knife to spread thin, even coat of paste onto one side of first foam square, or apply liquid glue. Center one sheet of paper on pasted foam; smooth paper with fingers. Repeat to cover all foam squares, each with a different pattern.
3. Cut four 1" x 12" strips of paper to cover edges of each square; save scraps to cover foam cubes. Glue paper strips in place; let dry.
4. Use level and poster adhesive to secure squares to wall. You may also glue sawtooth hangers to top center back of each foam square and hang with small nails.
Cubes
1. Trace four sides of each foam cube onto paper scraps leftover from foam squares and cut out pieces. Adhere alternating papers to cubes in same way as squares; let dry.
2. Use floral shears to trim hydrangea stems to 4" long. Use glue gun to glue and insert two stems into top of each paper-covered cube.
3. Trim leaf stems. Glue and insert four leaves into top of each cube among hydrangea blossoms. Position and shape leaves to cover exposed foam at top of cube.
