INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Pin satin fabric to the foam sheet. Cut ribbons to 12" lengths. Position ribbon length along edge of satin and pin each end. Cover satin, pinning ribbon strips side-by-side and alternating colors and widths. Weave remaining ribbons through pinned lengths until surface is covered. Be sure ribbons are positioned snugly, covering satin fabric entirely.
2. Removing pins one at a time and re-pin each ribbon end to satin only. Continue until all ribbons are free of the foam. Secure edges by sewing a running stitch 1/2" from the edge all the way around; remove pins.
3. Lay fabric on a flat surface, ribbon side down. Positioning Pattern A on the diagonal, trace four shapes onto satin. Sew on the line around each piece. Cut out each piece, trimming as close to stitching as possible.
4. Glue fabric pieces to ball, with points touching at the top and bottom. Let dry. Cut 5/8" wide braid and pearl strand in four lengths. Glue braid over each seam; glue pearls over braid. Insert pin with pearl head through bead cap, add glue to end of pin, and insert in bottom of ball.
5. Make bow with ten 2" loops from 5/8" wired ribbon. Fold 3/8" braid in half; insert remaining pin with pearl head through both ends. Add glue to end of pin and insert through center of bow and into ball top, forming hanger.
