Materials Needed

STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
Sheet, 36" x 12" x 1-1/2"

Other Materials:
Urn with liner
Spray paints: sandstone faux stone paint; primer
Wet floral foam block
Fresh or silk flowers: white Oriental lilies, five stems; white snapdragons, nine stems; Italian ruscus, five stems; fresh cedar or other greenery, five stems
Waterproof floral tape
Unwired wooden picks, 6", four
Floral pins
Floral shears
Floral or other serrated knife
Candle stub or paraffin
Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
Anti-transpirant spray (if using fresh flowers)

Instructions

1. Using sharp pencil, draw outline of cross on foam sheet. Wax serrated knife with candle stub or paraffin; cut cross from foam sheet.

2. Spray cross with primer; let dry. Spray on faux stone paint; let dry.

3. Spread glue on pick ends and insert into base of cross. Glue and insert floral foam into urn; trim excess. Glue and insert other end of cross picks into floral foam.

4. Insert snapdragon stems into foam to create height and width of design. Insert ruscus to continue design lines. Insert lilies for depth. Insert greenery into design to cover foam and fill in gaps.

5. To balance taller stems at back right of design, insert a few downward-draping greenery stems into front left of foam.

6. Add water to foam in urn. Mist fresh flowers and greenery with anti-transpirant.
