Instructions
1. Follow Sheets-to-Shapes® template instructions to enlarge and cut out the template and butterfly shape from the foam sheet.
2. Following dotted lines on templates, add detail lines to the butterfly by scoring foam with a sharp tool, such as a wood pick or the tip of a hot knife.
3. Bevel edges and sand smooth. Heat butterfly form with heat gun to smooth edges, enhance details and prepare surface for painting.
4. Paint with primer, followed by black spray paint. Spray again with black paint, letting dry between coats, until butterfly form is painted solidly, including design lines.
5. Hold butterfly at an angle and lightly spray wings with white paint, adding highlights. Do not spray detail lines. Repeat, using orange spray paint.
6. Spray end of chenille stem with black paint and paint scored lines. Repeat, using white paint sprayed on a chenille stem.
7. Create antenna from black chenille stem and glue in place.
8. Spread glue on ends of three wood picks and insert into base of butterfly. Insert into floral arrangement.
