| Instructions |
| 1. Wax serrated knife with candle stub or paraffin. Draw even line around larger end of foam cone, 6" from work surface, measuring often to ensure uniformity. Cut cone on line, making cut as level as possible; cut end will become bottom of vase. |
|
2. Press cut edge of foam against work surface to ensure it is level. Trace bottom of vase onto back of holiday paper near one corner; cut out and glue to vase.
|
|
3. To cover vase sides, place vase on its side on back of remaining scrapbook paper. Holding pencil in one hand against wide end of vase and keeping small end of vase stationary, roll vase across paper with other hand. This will create a curved line across top of paper.
|
| 4. Repeat Step 3, holding pencil against narrow vase end to create curved line across bottom of paper. Draw straight lines at each end to connect curved lines, creating a semi-fan shape; cut out paper on lines. Apply glue to paper edges; wrap around vase. Be sure paper covers top edge of foam; trim excess as needed. Spot glue as needed. |
| 5. Firmly adhere Santa sticker of choice to front of vase; rub down edges so they will not lift during handling. |
| 6. Cut one 18" length of tinsel and string ornaments onto it, alternating colors. Wrap tinsel around top of vase; apply hot glue to floral pin ends and push into foam over tinsel to secure. |
| 7. Glue moss to top of vase, completely covering surface. Use floral shears to trim rose stems. Insert first rose into center of vase and five remaining roses evenly spaced around arrangement. |
| 8. Trim berry stem into small bunches; insert between roses. Trim remaining leaves from rose stems and glue between roses and berries around top edge of vase. |
| 9. If desired, remove roses and berries, apply glue to stem ends and reinsert them. |
